What Huna Is?Huna belongs to those things which are easy to experience, and hard to describe, but I will do my best to tell you something about it. A person, a mage who practices Huna gains his knowledge mainly by his personal experiences (no matter pleasure or not), because getting knowledge is not only by reading books or net articles. If this mage becomes a healer, he put his all within in the process of healing. He uses the same strength, the same willpower on his patient as well as on himself. That’s why is really hard to describe Huna. There is a pattern of all Huna tradition, and this pattern consists of seven golden words (rules):
• Ike
• Kala
• Makia
• Manawa
• Aloha
• Mana
• Pono
Each of tease words give us knowledge and experience of thousand generations of Kahunas (Huna’s Prayers/Mages). We can write innumerable essays about it, but what for? The essence is experience each word, each rule in deep within.
Huna is a philosophic system, an esoteric system, an occult system or… nothing like that, because you, and only you decide what Huna means for you. But if you suspect that Huna gives you answers about sense or your existence or lead you for your whole life, you will fail. Why? Because nobody, and nothing gives you such answers. You have to seek it for your own, that’s why you live here. Huna is for people who are responsible for their lives. It gives you unlimited possibilities, and do not impose own conditions. But if you know Huna, I assure you that you won’t put your blame on anything/anyone anymore, so think it over.
Before you start to read rest of this article, I have to warn you of searching “oriental exotic” in Huna. Perhaps you will find some curious rituals, but you will surprise they are no such exotic, just a normal ones. Huna based on effectiveness, so it will be reject anything, what disturb your focus on the goal, what you want to achieve. Just get hard involved into Huna instead of looking for exotic.
Let’s get back to the 7 Huna Golden Rules. I will try to explain it deeply to you.
1. Ike – World is how you’re imagine it. If you think that something is difficult to you, so it isl be. If you think that something comes to you easily, it comes. If you don’t have any negative blockades, this rule will be true for you.
Hint: Be optimist! 2. Kala – There is no limitations. Our limitations are nothing more than creations of our mind or our conscious or subconscious programs. There is no impossibilities, in otherwise we should still live in a caves!
Hint: Create much more positive thoughts, believes and plans of your live. 3. Makia – The energy follows our thoughts. If you focus on something it will increase, regardless of this is good or bad. Practice visualization, because it’s a priceless and very powerful tool.
Hint: Concentrate on the solutions, not on the problems, focus on your goal. 4. Manawa – The power is now. Everything what are you doing is now. Now you have the power to control your life. You will harvest your own crops. World is happening Now. Now you influence on the vision of your world.
Hint: Did you plan something for tomorrow? No? So, do it today! 5. Aloha – The love is created for bringing happiness. Love is in us, love do not know any conditions, love is inside us.
Hint: Love whole world without any conditions. 6. Mana – All power comes from our inside. All that you need is only power, faith, will, and Aim to achieve.
Hint: See people, world and spirit like friendly forces supporting you in achieving your goals. 7. Pono – Effectiveness is the measure of the truth. By using your methods you gain positive results, you can claim that this methods are real and good, but you have to remember that each creature is unique, and there is no universal method. Sometimes finding a proper one can take some time. If a method do work for you, just leave it and find another one, a better one.
Hint: Make sure of your actions and your goals. Aside from 7 Huna Golden Rules, Kahunas based also of a certain divisions of world on four planes:
- Reality is objective
- Reality is subjective
- Reality is symbolic
- Reality is holistic
So, the Huna Prayer is not the person who practices magic, but he is the person who change certain planes to gain the highest power (effectiveness, efficiency, etc.). The Huna Mage will use it together with pure magic.
Huna also introduces the concept of Three Souls, or Three Selves:
- Aumakua – higher self or super-conscious
- Uhane – middle self or conscious
- Unihipili – lower self or subconscious
This division is quite logic, even modern psychology brings a similar one. However each Huna Prayer have to treat a human being like integrity, he is not allowed to divide it on three parts, we can’t heal the part, we have to heal whole creature. That’s why Kahunas brought the fourth part – Kanaloa – that’s what we are, all Three Selves together.
This is all for now. Too much? Too less? This is only a small piece of Huna’s knowledge. I just wanted to show you, that something like Huna exists. What are you going to do with it? It is your choice!
